
Through the Black Friday noise
We were approached by SOUNDBOKS who needed help with their Black Friday Week sale. The Black Friday Week sale is a big recurring event for the brand, as it’s the only time a year their speakers go on sale. Realizing they were in a tight spot with November well underway, they needed help crafting ads for Meta that would not only help get the message out there, but also make their brand stand out in a barrage of other ads during this particular season.
AI sarcasm
We asked AI to help craft creatives that adopted a sarcastic tone to the shopping frenzy of Black Friday, launching on the night of Black Friday.
Colourful insights
Marketers need to know what works and what doesn’t. To help them answer that, we crafted the creatives in all the color combinations of their brand identity, given them plenty of data to collect for next year’s sale.
Affordability
We wanted to lower the perceived bar of entry, making the discount more accessible by highlighting the option to split payments with Klarna in some of our creatives.
Flexibility
We created several editions of the video/gif creatives ahead of time, that took dwindling availability and out-of-stock scenarios into account. The creatives also served as a visual representation of the urgency of getting the deal before it’s too late.
All markets
We developed a variety of ads, ranging from strictly tactical to creative ads, in several formats and ratios. Our ads also featured a structured design, allowing for easy localisation to different markets.
My Role
Creative Lead
I led the project and also pitched in to help produce a mix of motion graphics and graphical assets hands on with our graphic designer. We worked hand-in-hand to make sure our visuals told the right story, looked on brand while remaining tactical.
Copywriting Collaboration
Working together with our copywriter, we made sure the sales message was clear, catchy, and on-brand. It was all about getting our audience to sit up and take notice.
Creative Direction
My main responsibility was developing all creative materials and steering the creative direction of the Black Friday campaign. From the look and feel to the words we used, I made sure everything was neatly tied together to make our project stand out.
